OOTD: New dress
Dress: MANGO.com

Belt: Thrifted
Necklace: JCPenny
Bracelet: Forever21
I tried this dress on when we were in Miami Beach back in September. Little story: Hubby and I went to MANGO and a sales associate (a guy) said everything in store is 20% off. Cool! I found a few items to try on and another sales associate (a female) showed me to the fitting room. She was basically standing outside fitting rooms and each time I came out to show my husband she jumped into our convo saying how great it looks (despite the fact that everything I picked out was a size too big on me). She got more annoying each time I came out of the fitting room to get my husbands opinion. The only item I liked was this dress. She said if I like it she might be able to give me a deal on it. I asked what kinda deal and she said I'll give you 10% off!!!! Seriously? That's funny because the guy said everything in store is 20% off (of course I told her that and of course she didn't have nothing to say to that). I took the dress off and left the store!
That is the one thing I disliked a lot about most of the stores in Miami Beach...extremely pushy sales people. Maybe it because they get so many tourists?!
The good news is I found this dress online on sale for $50....yep, it was 50% off.
How do you deal with pushy sales people?
xoxo,
Lilly

Lol, she was seriously trying too hard. Glad you were able to beat that silly 20% discount and score that very cute dress.
ReplyDeleteIf a sales associate is extremely pushy, I usually end up leaving the department or just try to lose them if it is a boutique.
LOVE how you styled the dress with the yellow sweater!
ReplyDeleteI hate it when salespeople try to hustle their customer! I'm pretty good about standing my ground and not getting pressured into buying/trying things - nowadays I don't have time to waste LOL!
Oh my gosh, I HATE that Lilly! I will literally walk out of stores if the salespeople are annoying the hell out of me. I like help...but only if I need it!
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I love that dress! Mango is such a great store. I've never had any issues at the one I go to. Usually the salesgirls are super nice.
Oh, and I just bought that bracelet at Forever today! It has different colors in it than yours, but it's the same ;) You look so well put together, I really love the whole look on you.
Love this dress! Especially paired with the yellow, so very pretty-you are great at mixing prints, colors and textures.
ReplyDeleteAre you serious? wow I've never had an experience quite like that. I would've left too! Well it worked out since you got that gorgeous dress for an even better deal! I love this outfit, makes me long for spring!
ReplyDeleteI love the dress with the yellow sweater. I have a very similar yellow cardigan and find that wearing it in the winter puts me in such a better mood.
ReplyDeleteo.O at the female SA. That's messed up! I'm glad you bypassed and found an even better deal later on. I love the yellow cardi pairing. So cheerful and makes me smile :)
ReplyDeleteOh god! i hate pushy sales people. I walk out and don't buy anything! even if i want it. Sometimes i go back when someone nicer is there. I cannot stand rude people. ANYWAY haha your outfit is great love the yellow on you!
ReplyDeleteglad you got an awesome deal on this dress - it looks great! and love the pop of yellow with the cardi!
ReplyDeleteI can't stand pushy sales people. Sales associates can either make or break your shopping experience.
ReplyDeleteBut it is a gorgeous dress - love the length! Glad you ended up buying it.
Ugh, pushy SAs! So irritating. They're just as irritating as the SAs who never pay any attention to you, haha! I have yet to find a good way to deal with pushy SAs, so when you find a good method, please share! Also, that dress is beautiful on you, though after seeing a few of your OOTDs, I am wondering as to whether you can wear ANYTHING bad, haha!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your sweet comments. You ladies make my day :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad we all feel the same about pushy SAs. We all appreciate their help when needed of course :)
